Super Zangyura trophy guide

Super Zangyura Trophy & Unlocks Guide

Super Zangyura is out on PS4/Vita/PS5 in English now! I couldn’t find a good trophy guide so…I made one! Here are all the trophy descriptions, unlocks, and tricks you should need to get that platinum trophy!

Super Zangyura Controls

Most of the controls work as simply as described, though I highly recommend changing the default Attack and Jump commands to be on Square and X instead of the default. I like X to jump and Square to attack.

Secret techniques:

Jump while charging an attack to fall slower. Essential to reach certain items, especially in Hard.

Jump after being hit to do a mid-air hop, is essential to escape some constant-hit traps or save yourself from a bad fall.

Sometimes the Charge Attack will be required to break walls for secrets or even to proceed. If stuck, hit everything. Sometimes a normal attack and charged attack have different results.

Attack while moving forward to attack just a bit farther.

Attacking while crouching can help hit certain objects, usually through small gaps.

Charging an attack also blocks projectiles from above, even the “laser” from Rooks, essential in some areas.

The Dash can seem useless to a casual player, but it’s essential at some points to cross gaps. In higher difficulties, you’ll need to be very familiar with exactly how far you will dash. Also, it’s faster than walking so good for speed runs.

Super Zangyura Trophies (Epics)

Each Trophy is listed in the Epics menu, giving a vauge hint before being unlocked and the actual description after unlocking. The PSN Trophy lists the hint, not the real solution. Most will be obtained simply by beating Super Zangyura once and completing the Mythics in Time Trials.

A Doughnutverse hidden inside a quark, with a matching Doughnut background

I’ve been meaning to get into the rhythm of writing regularly (for this site and in general), so I’d like to introduce a new weekly(?) series of free game spotlights: Free Points.

Free Points is a series of weekly free game recommendations. The games may range from the most surreal of Alt Games to the most traditional of platformers; the only requirements for a Free Points game is that they’re free (real free, not free to play!) and very much worth your time.

Nested

Nested by Orteil (who happens to have made Cookie Clicker) is a free browser game about exploring nested elements. You start with a “universe” and you can dig all the way down to individual planets, animals, atoms…

The State of Youtube Red (For a Medium Sized Channel)

Youtube Red Logo

I’ve been interested in Youtube Red since it’s announcement, and stayed somewhat optimistic when everyone wanted to hate it. Now it’s been out a few months, and more importantly, Youtube Red analytics have been added. With these tools a pretty clear picture can be painted: Youtube Red is a great potential source for income that, at present, is used much too rarely to be of notable real-world value to creators.

The Legend of Dark Witch 2 Guide

The Legend of Dark Witch 2 logo

This is a guide for The Legend of Dark Witch 2, a sequel that improves on the original in every way and addresses it’s flaws handily. You’ll find the locations of Pura Syega, how to use shop items effectively, how to beat Playing Level challenges are more! You can find the game on the 3DS eShop or on Steam for PC.

If you have any questions or info to give, as always you may leave them in the Comments section below and I’ll get to it ASAP.

Neptunia vs Sega Hard Girls Import Guide

The Neptunia vs Sega Hard Girls logo

Characters

IF

IF is your standard majorly overpowered Protagonist this time around (much more so than Neptune has ever been). Retaining her incredible AGI and ability to use both magic and physical attacks, she now has a buffed transformation state much like the CPUs and generally has stats well in excess of what she normally would have as a Maker.

IF’s overpoweredness may become rather annoying if you don’t like it, as either she or Segami are required to lead your party and participate in all battles.

Segami

Despite being a deuteragonist, Segami is not nearly as overpowered as IF. Instead of a universally buffed transformation state, she has the ability to transform into any one of the Sega Hard girls and copy their current skills. This is very situational unlike IF’s transformation, and I rarely use it, instead using Segami for her inherent traits and just bringing along whatever other party members I like.

Import Guide

Below lies the original text of my import guide. I’ll eventually move it to another page as soon as I’m done with the English one. It will always be a bit less complete than the English one.

As usual I’ve imported the latest Neptunia game and decided to make a quick guide for my fellow importers.

Welcome to Super Dimension War Neptunia VS Sega Hard Girls Dream of Coalescence Special AKA Cho Jigen Taisen Neptune VS Sega Hard Girls Yume no Gattai Special AKA 超次元 大戦 ネプテューヌVSセガ・ハード・ガールズ 夢の合体スペシャル AKA goodness referring to games only availible in another language is difficult, isn’t it. I’ma just call it Neptunia vs Sega Hard Girls.

Trophy Hunter Warning: See the Fetching Balls Master trophy section for some info you should keep in mind the whole game or you’ll make your last few steps of trophy hunting extra painful.

If you want a description of the game in general, check out my Import Impressions post. I’ll keep things clinical for the guide.

Hyperdimension Neptunia vs Sega Hard Girls Import Impressions

The Neptunia vs Sega Hard Girls logo

Recently I imported the latest Neptunia side game, called Super Dimension War Neptunia VS Sega Hard Girls Dream of Coalescence Special AKA Cho Jigen Taisen Neptune VS Sega Hard Girls Yume no Gattai Special AKA 超次元大戦 ネプテューヌVSセガハードガールズ 夢の合体スペシャル

AKA We’re just calling it Neptunia vs Sega Hard Girls okay. I’ve been enjoying it and thought I’d write up a post about the highs and lows so far.

If you’re interested in watching gameplay, I have 6 hours of video from livestreams on my Youtube channel, you can find the first Neptunia vs Sega Hard Girls stream here and the second livestream archive here. That should give you a pretty clear look at the start of the game. I’m also working on a guide for the game I’ll publish soon.

As this is an “import impressions” post, note that I have not fully completed the game (I have played about 10 hours and I would approximate possibly half the game) and I may not properly understand all aspects of the game as it is in Japanese. I do not speak Japanese so I play these games via a combination of Google Translate, trial and error, dumb luck and Determination. If I say something is missing it’s possible I just haven’t seen it, and I may miss otherwise obvious hints in UI text/etc that would have prevented me from making certain mistakes.

Also note the game released last week in Japan–there’s a possibility there will be some patches. Neptunia Victory II actually got quite a few patches to address issues and improve a few things.

What I use to record Let’s Play videos and Livestreams

Sir TapTap's Tools

I get asked what tools I while recording use a lot, so I thought I’d toss it all into a nice detailed page to point to. Here you’ll find all the software, hardware and what not I record or livestream with, all of which I personally recommend.

I don’t have any special training, so why some of these tools may not be the absolute best in the biz, they work, they’re easy enough for an untrained spikeball to use and they’re either reasonably priced or free.

I’ll update this whenever new software enters my permanent rotation. Yes Amazon links in this post may be affiliate links. No you do not pay more by visiting an affiliate link.
