2018-12-14: All fish conditions found! It seems like the lockdown on the Halloween tank has been delayed. Video guide. BTW Freshwater’s lag was fixed.

The event has its own tank just like the Halloween Event, and likely requires the level ~300-400 or whatever coralite in the first tank to unlock (less than a day of effort).

I streamed the Christmas event thursday!
2018-12-14: Timer added to the Halloween event, it closes in 7 days but after that you can pay pearls (150 for a month) or watch an ad (once per day for 30 minutes) to unlock the tank again. Free trials of the magic skills were added to the halloween tank.
2018-11-17: Game update, Fall Fish unlocks were drastically improved. Updated unlock conditions in the guide. If you already meet the new unlocks for fall fish that require X number of fish, you may have to buy a new fish of that type to get them to register.

It is a slow rollout and will take you a while to get. Despite literally every single update AbyssRium has ever done rolling out in the same (stupid) fashion I still get spammed every time it updates about this. Please don’t ask about it.

After too long the Halloween event for 2018 is finally upon us! It’s got it’s own coralite (as many suspected) and is accessed via the Map icon when the main menu is closed, just like Freshwater. As always there’s a slow rollout and it may take up to a week for everyone to get it.

Update 2018-07-16: Baby Corgi does not require the IAP! I made a video discussing problems with the event.
Last year’s fish are included, also the babies; the costs/unlocks for them can be found at the 2017 Anniversary Event Guide. Tap the orange clownfish in the event tab to switch tabs to the 2017 fish. The 2018 event themes work for the 2017 unlocks, you do not need to buy the IAP.
A new fusion fish update is also included but not part of the event. See the Fusion Fish Guide for that info.

Event ended April 30th 2018.
I livestreamed the event earlier, watch the archive if you want to see what it’s all about! The event’s costs are really unfair so I highly recommend an auto-tapper, see how to use an auto tapper here. The events aren’t fair, and here’s why in my opinion; it’s a systemic issue. As players we deserve better. I’d recommend messaging the devs on Facebook and telling them you want more community interaction. They need a Community Manager.

So this event is basically the shark-jumping moment for AbyssRium. This event is exploitative beyond anything AbyssRium fans have seen before. This seems to be the point where Cheetah Mobile has completely consumed the original dev team’s intent and wants to milk us for every single penny by destroying the core game unless you pay.
I posted a comprehensive list outlining 19 problems with this event on reddit. I am not in the mood to repeat it here, but suffice it to say, the devs think you are both an idiot and gullible. Song of the Moon was disabled for candy gaining, wait times and an illegal (in Japan and China anyway) gachapon were introduced, they wanted to delete all of our stored candies at the end of the event too. And that’s just half of it at most. It’s all garbo.
